孫賢鉥先生在病中仍在浏览五柳村，当看到五柳村介绍中国科协2004年学术年会上的文章却打不开文件时，来信表示关注。2004年11月28日利用回家的间歇发出此信，并告知下午必须回到医院作进一步的检查，会有几天收不到他的回信了。不意此信竟成绝笔！

This afternoon I have to return to the hospital for further investigation of my headache problem and I don’t know how long I have to stay there. The doctor let me have day-pass during the weekends. But I have to return to the hospital around 6 pm. Thus, you may not receive my reply in several days.
